A zine that explores the origins of the name ‘Hong Kong’ – when translated to English from its native Cantonese – means ‘Fragrant Harbour’.

As it turns out, Hong Kong island used to be a hub for the trading of agarwood, a prized form of incense wood that was grown and manufactured locally. What were the histories and stories that led to this name? How did geography and politics influence the industry?
